Once a singer begins to sing a measured song, he continues to the end in the same meter, in most cases. The folk songs in 6/8 meter often alternate or mix 3×2 or 2×3. The meters of Baul-gan songs are restricted only to two types of meters: 6/8 and 4/4. These rarely each a length equal to a fifth of the length of the measured song.
